LANGUAGE

Arabic is the language of the country. In general, English is widely spoken in hotels, major restaurants and many shops.

WCEOC’2014 needs to write the following data.

ELECTRICITY

Bahrain operates on 220 Volts AC with rounf-pong European style plugs that fit into recessed wall sockets/ points.

 

HEALTH

Bahrain’s hospitals are well-equipped and of the highest standard.

 

CLIMATE

The average temperature is between 15 degrees to 25 in December in Bahrain.

 

ENTRY VISA

•          Bahrain requires an entry visa in advance for most non-Bahrainis entering the country.

•          Any participant registering with the congress must apply for an entry visa from the Bahrain Embassy in his/ her country and pay the required fees.

•          Entry VISA should be provided on WCEOC’2014 website.

 

CURRENCY  REGULATION

•          The exchange rate is determined daily; several banks and exchange offices are available.

•          Traveler’s checks can be cashed in most banks.

•          Hotels  and  many  shops  and  restaurants  accept foreign  currency  and  all  major  credit  cards.

•          Limits: There is no limit on the amount of foreign currency that may be brought into Bahrain.

Sunday-Thursday  (8:30-11:00), (4:00-6:30), Friday (closed).

Shops: Saturday-Thursday (8:00-19:00), Friday (closed).
